$800 for four hours. $995 with ceremony sound. Here's exactly what that buys, and what makes a quote go up.
$800. Four hours. That's the number. It covers a full wedding reception in St. Augustine with a professional DJ and MC, and it doesn't move unless you add something to it.
Somebody on Reddit asked for a cheap wedding DJ in St. Augustine and got a thread full of guesses. This page is the straight answer: what the price is, what's inside it, and the three things that make it go up.
We're an affordable St. Augustine wedding DJ, not a cheap one. The gear is professional, the DJs are trained, and the invoice says what the website says.
In short: everything you need for a wedding reception.
Introductions, first dance, dinner music, cake, toasts, and an open dance floor. A full reception, not a trimmed one.
For the prayer, the blessing, and the speeches. Nobody shouts across a room at our weddings.
Real sound, sized to the room. Same standard whether it's a 60-person barn or a 200-person ballroom.
Included. Premium uplighting around the room is an add-on, the dance floor itself is covered.
Music requests, do-not-play list, and the timeline, all in one place you control.
St. Augustine is home. No mileage, no setup charge, no surprise on the final bill.
Two packages. One add-on turns the first into the second.

What moves the number
The only thing $800 doesn't cover.
A ceremony is a second setup. A small satellite speaker goes wherever you're saying your vows, with a lapel mic that picks up both of you and a handheld for the officiant or a reader. That second rig is what takes the package from $800 to $995.
We take ceremony sound seriously. Plenty of DJs wing it with whatever's in the truck, and guests notice. A clip-on mic on the officiant means the back row hears the vows, and a second clip-on fixes a quiet speaker.
Same-room ceremony and reception? Tell us. Sometimes the main rig covers both and the $800 package does the job.
We'll quote it. We'll also ask a couple of questions first.
When a couple asks for a two-hour or three-hour DJ for a wedding, they've usually forgotten something. Ceremony music. A microphone for the officiant. The toasts. We ask so you're not scrambling for a speaker on the morning of.
Most weddings end up needing the full four hours once introductions, dinner, cake, toasts, and a real dance set are on the timeline. If yours genuinely doesn't, say so and we'll price it straight.
Three things, and you choose all of them.
Extra hours are the usual one. Downtown venues cut outdoor music at 10 PM, but an indoor room that runs late can mean a fifth or sixth hour on the clock.
Add-ons are the rest: premium uplighting around the room, a photo booth, or live musicians alongside the DJ. Each is quoted on its own, and none of them is required.
That's it. No fuel surcharge, no "St. Augustine premium", no fee for a venue we haven't played. Jacksonville couples get the same deal on the Jacksonville budget DJ page, and the Jacksonville DJ cost guide goes deeper on what drives prices across Northeast Florida. With AE it's $800 for a four-hour reception or $995 for five hours with ceremony sound. Extra hours and add-ons like uplighting, a photo booth, or live musicians are what push a quote past that.
Ask us, but expect a few questions first. Couples asking for two or three hours have usually forgotten ceremony music and a microphone for the officiant, and most weddings end up needing the full four.
Same answer: we'll quote it, after we check you aren't leaving out the ceremony or the toasts. Three hours rarely covers introductions, dinner, cake, toasts, and a real dance set.
We charge $800 for four hours of DJ and MC service in St. Augustine, and that is the whole price. Professional speakers, wireless handheld mics, dance floor lighting, and the planning app are in it.
No. Ceremony sound means a second satellite speaker and a separate setup, and that is what takes the package to $995. If your ceremony and reception are in the same room, ask.
No. St. Augustine is home. No travel fee, no setup charge, no surprise line on the invoice.
Tell us the venue and the hours. You'll have a real quote, not a range.
